I understand silence. I was raised in one of the harshest societies. Silence was mandatory. Not only about feelings — about everything. Desire forbidden. Fear forbidden. Softness forbidden. Curiosity forbidden.

And even with that experience, it is still impossible to fully comprehend the pain of a little boy who discovered within himself a beautiful feminine presence. A presence the world tried to destroy, silence, violate, erase from inside his own body.
